In our previous post, we were talking about the legal issues of some scooters in Tenerife. However, the law in Lanzarote is way different. Yes, laws change from island to island down here – or up here, depending where you are coming from 🙂
Today, a little word about electric scooter rental in Lanzarote
Yes, they are. However, some rules exist.
First of all, they CANNOT be driven on the public road. Only on sidewalks, the sea promenade, and passenger zone. The reason is quite simple – they have no registration plate.
If you drive one of these scooters on the road, you are risking a fine when the police sees you. Furthermore, they will confiscate the vehicle.
Note that we will not held responsible, especially because we always mention this during the safety briefing.
We have models available for all ages – as from 5 years old. For children below this age, we also have electric baby cars available. Some of them are even remote-controlled, so your toddler doesn’t even have to drive himself.
For the youngest ones, we propose our Arrecife model, an easy-to-handle, lightweight model.
As from 8 years old, we have our Playa Blanca e-scooter, a more powerful version of the Arrecife model (300W vs 100W)
And finally, as from 12 years we have our Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise e-scooter models.
They come with respectively 1000W and 1600W engines, equipped with lithium batteries.
The pictures below give an overview of our electric scooters.
First of all, we are currently running a low-season promotion. The normal price of the electric scooters is 15€ for an hour, 20€ for two hours.
PROMOTION: 15€/h, 25€ for a full day (until 6PM)
We do not require a deposit, and no driver license is needed to rent our scooters.
We have a wide variety of mobility scooters, electric bicycles, and even e-fat bikes for rent. Have a look at our rental page for more information. Our next article will be dedicated to electric bicycles, so stay tuned.
